In the field of pressure sensitive adhesives, poly (methyl) acrylate is a very useful base material
In areas such as the pressure-sensitive adhesives widely used in tape, poly(methyl) acrylates have proved to be very useful as base materials. They show excellent properties such as tolerance to light, climate and a variety of chemicals, as well as in their inherent adhesion and their resistance to aging and heat. In addition, they can be used in multiple polar and less polar substrates, such as glass and steel, but also in polystyrene and polycarbonate.
There is a fundamental interest in improving the bonding properties of poly(methyl) acrylate based compositions, especially for substrates with less polarity, in order to be able to benefit from the numerous other positive properties of these substances under this type of bonding. In this regard, the further development of suitable adhesive resins is of particular interest. Adhesive resins based on low molecular weight poly(methyl) acrylates are described in particular in prior art.
For example, US3,867,481 describes mouldable compositions based on polyethylene halides modified with acrylate-like polymers with molecular weights of 1, 500 to 10,000g/mol and traceable to alkyl methacrylate and other (methyl) acrylates and styrene. The composition is said to have improved fluidity and processing properties.
US 4,912,169 discloses adhesive compositions containing polymer additives, The polymer additive consists of (methyl) acrylic C1 C20 alkyl ester and (meth) acrylic acid ring alkyl ester, acid and optional can be radical polymerization of olefin to other olefinic polymerization of unsaturated monomer monomers and with less than 35, 000 g/mol number average molecular weight and softening point of more than 40 ℃.
JP 54 3136 A describes A kind of adhesive, its contains acrylic polymers and molecular weight of 500-3500 g/mol oligomer, which is known as tackifier, with one or more selected from acrylic acid and C1 C12 alkyl ester and methyl acrylate C4 C12 alkyl ester and copolymerization of vinyl aromatic compounds compounds. EP 1 491 604 A1 describes a pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising an acrylic ester polymer and an oligomer having a monomer component containing a carboxyl group.
The oligomer contains an alene unsaturated compound as the main monomer. The homopolymer of the alene unsaturated compound has a glass transition temperature of 60 to 190℃ and has a ring structure. In addition, the monomer base of oligomers includes monomers containing carboxyl groups.
EP 2 385 089 A1 discloses a single layer pressure sensitive tape consisting of an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive layer. Acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive consists of acrylic polymer and (methyl) acrylic oligomer, the glass transition temperature is less than or equal to 45℃, and its weight average molecular weight of 1,500 to 4,000g/mol.
