Sanitary ware toughened glass safety film using acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive
Toughened glass is a kind of safety glass that forms a compressive stress layer on the surface of the flat glass after being treated by heating – quenching or other methods to improve the mechanical strength and heat shock strength of glass, and forms small granular fragments without acute angles to reduce the risk of injury when it is damaged. Toughened glass because of its advantages, is often used in home decoration block doors, bathroom large shower room,s and other places.
But its obvious disadvantage is that toughened glass will happen in the absence of direct external mechanical forces under the action of the automaticity of the crack, namely the explosive of toughened glass, according to the experience of the industry, common the explosive rate of toughened glass in 1- around 3%. Self-detonation is one of the inherent characteristics of toughened glass.
So far, the scientific community has not been able to solve the self-detonation characteristics, and as a bathroom, in the process of use due to the alternations of hot and cold water and dry humidity, coupled with the deformation of the processing process and other reasons, so that the self-detonation rate of tempered glass significantly increased, has greatly affected the personal safety of users, at present, safety film program because of its easy processing, low cost.
It is widely used in home decoration, especially in sanitary ware. By sticking the safety film with toughened glass, the glass will be stuck by adhesive after breaking, which protects the person from self-explosion injury; but at present, the biggest problem with sanitary safety film is that dry paste glue, high temperature and humidity resistance, long time use will appear bubbles, water ripples and other phenomena, affecting the appearance. The main reason for these problems is that the adhesive performance of the safety film used is not up to standard. Therefore, it is of great application value and market value to study acrylic acid pressure sensitive adhesive with high viscosity, high temperature and high humidity resistance and no orange peel lines.
